Silence Becomes It

"The silence came bursting through the walls that night. No chairs or tables between you and me. Instead of the usual small talk we just stayed there and waited. No movements. My eyes got used to the pale night. It was raining. Words came to my mind, but I was amazed to speak. I felt the silence bursting through me. Violently. No warnings. No needs. I closed my eyes for two seconds and suddenly we knew. There was no fear. Tomorrow was here."
